A guide to using the skills of Zetian, a mage with high magic damage and good control. Zetian’s skills include Celestial Armament, Phoenix Strike, Phoenix Descent and Fury of the Phoenix.
How to use Zetian skill most effectively?
Passive: Celestial Armament
Passive grants Zetian CC and a shield. Zetian gains spell vamp and stacks 10 times after using Phoenix Strike (skill 1) or Phoenix Descent (skill 2). Enemies that come near Zetian are knocked back or stunned and deal magic damage to them.
Take advantage of Zetian’s passive to help her recover better, preventing enemies from closing in on her in combat. Zetian can lane or engage more effectively without having to retreat to heal.
Skill 1: Phoenix Strike
Zetian’s 1st skill deals magic damage and increases movement speed. Zetian will launch Phoenix Wave in the designated direction, if it hits an enemy, it will launch another wave of Phoenix Wave, up to 3 times. Zetian will gain increased movement speed, spell vamp when dealing damage to minions and at the same time dealing magic damage to enemies.
Use skill 1 to farm minions or harass enemies from a distance extremely effectively. To get spell lifesteal, you need to use this skill on minions. You need to cast Phoenix Wave in the right direction of the target to deal damage and activate other Phoenix Waves.
Applies most effectively when minions or enemies are lined up in a straight line.
Skill 2: Phoenix Descent
Zetian’s skill 2 will slow and debuff enemies. Zetian will summon a Phoenix Spirit that hovers at the target location for 3 seconds, dealing magic damage and slowing enemies within range. During the duration of Phoenix Spirit, Zetian can command it to rush to the target location, dealing damage and slowing enemies.
Use skill 2 in teamfights or to poke enemies from afar. You need to cast Phoenix Wave at as many enemies as possible to deal damage and slow them down.
Most effective when enemies are in groups or fighting in small, confined areas.
Ultimate: Fury of the Phoenix
Zetian’s ultimate will deal magic damage and CC to enemies. Zetian will summon a divine command that not only increases movement speed for all allies but also damages and stuns all enemies.
When using the ultimate, you need to stand in a safe place, out of sight of enemies or protected because at this time Zetian is very vulnerable to attack.
Zetian’s ultimate comes into play when a fight is on the horizon. She can stun multiple enemies at once, reveal enemy locations, or finish off low-health enemies from a distance. Besides, using the ultimate at the right time is also a way to help teammates retreat safely when attacked.
Maximize Zetian’s skill damage
Zetian’s skill upgrade priority: Skill 1 > Skill 2.
Upgrade skill 1 first then skill 2. For Zetian’s ultimate, upgrade at level 4, 8, 12.
Prioritize combo for Zetian: Skill 2 + Skill 1 + Ultimate.
Use skill 2 to slow down and damage enemies, then use skill 1 to deal more damage and increase movement speed. Finally, use ultimate to finish off enemies or stun them.
